Background

The Church of Ceylon Board of Women’s Work was inaugurated in 1945 to encourage and support the involvement of women in the life and mission of the church.

Objective

The Objective of this board is to challenge and equip the women of the Church of Ceylon to participate more effectively in the mission and witness of the church, promote the theological education of women at all levels in the Church, train women for leadership in the church and nation and to create awareness and respond to specific concerns of women

Programmes:

Our focus for 2016-2018 is on Gender Based Violence programmes. The Objective of all the programs thus far was to create awareness, prevention & protection on Gender Based Violence.
